There are some simple rules that you must follow to make a TAC claim following a transport accident.
Firstly, if the Police did not attend the scene of your accident you must report the accident to a Police Station. If you were injured in an accident whilst travelling on public transport you must contact the Company responsible for the transport - ie Metro, Yarra Trams, V-Line.
Next, the only way to make complete a claim form is to ring the TAC directly, on 1300 654 329. They will walk you through the claim form process and complete a claim form for you.
MEDICAL EXCESS
Note: TAC may make you pay the first $629 of your medical bills, however if you were taken to hospital and admitted you will not be liable for this amount. Make sure you let TAC know if you were admitted to hospital.
